Definition-Vaisheshika is one of the Six Schools in Yogic Philosophy.
Vaisheshika as a philosophy is atheistic (Doesn’t acknowledge a
God). Vaisheshika is concerned with the external and material world

sensation. They are a biomental and archetypal potential waves
manifesting in the psychomental stream in the form of the complexes.
There is a physiological response when a complex is triggered. One
has to change the vasanas (unconscious thought-waves) before the
vrittis (thought waves) in consciousness. You can cleanse the body or
the mind through bringing the vasanas to consciousness. Vasanas
come from Prakriti.


Vata Dosha

Definition-Part of the 24 principles of creation in Samkhya Philosophy and an evolution of Prakriti. The first element is called Ether in English and
refers to the element of Space and Sound. Ether itself is the subtlest
of the elements responsible for creating the remaining 4 elements
(air, fire, water & earth). The second element is called Air in English
and refers to the element of Air or anything that is in Gaseous Form.
Air is denser than Ether and less dense than Fire. Ether combined
with the Air element work together to create the Vata Dosha in the
negative sense and Prana in the highest sense.

Vayu

the five great elements (Panchamahbutas) scheme. It is called Air in
English and refers to the element of Air or anything that is in Gaseous
Form. Air is more dense than Ether and less dense than Fire. Air
combined with the Ether element work together to create the Vata
Dosha in the negative sense and Prana in the highest sense. Air
relates to Motion. It can manifest in five different forms call the vayus,
or prana vatas, the sub-doshas of Vata.

Definition-There are five vayus (airs) or movements/directions of
(energy)in the body. The vayus are the subdoshas of Vata. The five

Definition-Veda means knowledge. It comes from Vidya. There are

Vedanta

Definition-Vedanta or Uttar Mimamsa is one of the Six Schools in
Yogic Philosophy arising from the Upanishads. Its founder is
Badarayana. As a philosophy is theistic (Acknowledges a God). The
main texts are the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita. Vedanta
means the “End of the Vedas or Knowledge.” It focuses on meditation
and values interior life at the expense of or in order to understand
outer reality. It is concerned with the Unus Mundi or the Unchanging
Oneness/Unitary reality of the World in Brahman, the Undifferentiated
Supraconsciousness. Brahaman is said to be Nirguna (without
qualities) or formless. But when one speaks of Brahman in form, he
takes the form (Rupa) of Isvara. Organizer is Badarayana.

Vedas

Definition-Veda means knowledge. It comes from Vidya. There are
four main Vedas. The Rg, Sama, Yajur and Artharva Veda. The
Vedas are said to have no human author but to be cognized by direct
perception (active imagination) with God, by the Rishis (Seers) and
written down later. Originally part of an oral tradition, the Vedas are
one of the oldest texts that have survived the ages. These texts are
religious and give incantations to specific gods like Indra, Agni, Rudra
etc. And also contain important information on Spiritual Sciences like
Astrology (Jyotish) and Ayurveda.

Definition- It is one of the names for the Venus in Vedic Astrology.
Venus contains the element of water and is our capacity for
relationships and harness the life force (sexual fluids). Su means
good or happiness and Ra is enlightening. So Venus is the one who
enlightens us about the pleasures of life.


Vijnanamaya Kosha

Definition-Located in the Laryngeal Plexus, Vishuddhi the 5 th Chakra
in the 8 Chakra Model. It deals with the Thyroid and Parathyroid
Glands and is called the “Throat” Chakra. Vishuddhi means “Purifying
Poison” and therefore the Throat Chakra is concerned with the right
words and sounds for expression. It is part of the Upper Triangle in
the Chakric Star of David. This means it deals more with the
Sukshma (Subtle, Abstract, Imaginal, Theoretical, Archetypal) part of
life. The Throat is related to communication, creativity and
expression. Neurolinguistic Programming is primarily concerned with
Throat Chakra. The Throat Chakra is linked and has a special
connection and relationship to the Navel Chakra (Manipura). The
Deities associated with this Chakra are Sadashiva, Sad Gauri, &
Shakini.
