Definition-A “Guna” is a category, quality, attribute ascribed to forms
and are condition or state of matter. There are many gunas but there
are three main ones that start in the mind. They are the Sattva Guna
or quality of Luminosity, Purity and Knowledge, the Tamasic Guna or
the quality of Darkness, Inertia and Ignorance, and lastly, Rajas Guna
or the quality energy that is moving between Knowledge and
Darkness. Sattva relates to light of consciousness, Tamas is the
darkness of the unconscious, and Rajas is the psych energy that
flows between the two.
Guru

Definition-A Guru is the one who removes or brings light (Ru) to your
ignorance and darkness (Gu). It refers to a spiritual teacher or any
master of one or many systems. The Guru is one who is supposed to
lead you to God.

Definition-One of the twenty-two yoga styles. Yoga is the method of
uniting with the divine. Guru Yoga is the method of yoking with the
divine by surrending everything to your teacher and trust them to
guide you to the divine. One can imitate the teacher who is imitating
the Paramatman, the Divine Consciousness. One can also use
Traatik as part of Guru Yoga.
