Karma-In modern terms would translate to behavior. Behavior has cause and effect consequences that not only come from us but also the behavior of our ancestors that we inherited and is termed as the karma that we came into as a result of the past actions of previous generations. Karma like an archetype patterns behavior. The causal approach is a reductive one which is related to Extraversion. This could mean that this concept arose from the Indian Unconscious of Extraverted Sensation as the counter-pole to their highly differentiated Introverted Intuition in Consciousness. The concept of Karma puts people into this sort of Inferior Function so to say because people start to get crippled and worry about it a lot and can never seem to adapt fully to it. The opposite of the Causal approach is the Final which is seen in the Relativity and Probability Theories in modern Physics.
